THE HARE BALL

The Dorchester Park Lane was at the centre of the glamorous ‘HARE’ styling world last night, as 380 guests flooded The Ballroom. Original artworks created by some of the biggest names in the art and entertainment industries were auctioned to raise money for two new operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The Hare Ball raised over £130,000, with the highest bid of £32,000 going to a canvas created by Mr. Brainwash.

Shane Richie gave a hilarious improvised opening where he mercilessly ribbed Nicky Clarke and his other celebrity friends on the front tables. Stella McCartney sat stunned on John Frieda’s table as two bidders fought over her beautiful canvas. The bidding finally stopped at £15,000 when she agreed to create a second piece; raising £30,000 in total. Special guests including Martin Kemp, Vidal Sassoon and Lisa Maxwell also came to support the cause. The night was topped off with fantastic performances by Rebecca Ferguson, Sunday Girl and Rick Parfitt Junior.
